Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center is now accepting requests from Air Force Reserve and National Guard wings to provide subject matter experts for in-house training over a UTA weekend on topics relevant to Airmen at all stages of their careers.

The Spread the Word program is a one day training event which includes interactive presentations and one-on-one question and answer sessions for Guardsmen, Reservists, Individual Mobilization Augmentees and force support personnel.

“We are focused on direct support to Airmen in all aspects of the personnel lifecycle. The Spread the Word program is so important because it empowers Airmen to take ownership of their career progression,” said Brig. Gen. Ellen Moore, Commander, HQ ARPC.

HQ ARPC, located at Buckley Air Force Base, CO, oversees personnel actions for over 1.3 Million customers including Guard and Reserve members. From initial entry to retirement, the center provides support for generations of Airmen throughout their military careers and beyond.

“Now more than ever, our Airmen need to be knowledgeable about how to maintain their records and successfully accomplish personnel actions required throughout their career,” said Master Sgt. Christian Picard, HQ ARPC Spread the Word facilitator. “This training will instruct young airmen, serve as a refresher for supervisors, and give the force support personnel a new perspective on how to service the wing.”

Briefers provided by HQ ARPC go through a three-phase training program before briefing at the wing level. This training program ensures briefers are able to effectively communicate to an audience from different AFSCs and field questions on a wide range of topics, according to Picard.

Topics typically briefed during these events are education and post 9/11 GI Bill benefits, enlisted promotions and career development, understanding points summaries and topics relevant to those nearing retirement.

Guard and Reserve wing commanders interested in hosting a HQ ARPC training class are encouraged to submit a completed ARPC Form 89 and include specific topics of interest for their units. Providing these topics will ensure facilitators send the most qualified briefers to meet the needs of the commanders.

Completed Form 89s may be sent to arpc.presentations1@us.af.mil for processing and offices requiring additional assistance may contact the HQ ARPC Director of Staff office at 720-847-3022.
