In 2011 senior leadership began planning to move transactional work primarily conducted by the Air Force Reserve Command and Readiness Management Group at Robins Air Force Base, to the Air Reserve Personnel Center at Buckley AFB in accordance with Air Force policy Program Action Directive 07-11.
PAD 07-11 stipulates that MAJCOM/A1s will transfer transactional work and personnel processes to a personnel center of excellence and focus on providing advisory support, advocacy and specific operational capability for their command and MAJCOM commander.
An important first step in the migration of transactional work from AFRC/A1 and RMG to ARPC was to document processes scheduled for transfer. Through a series of process mapping sessions at Robins AFB, current business process owners from AFRC/A1 and RMG created "As-Is" process maps (flowcharts) to document how TW processes are currently performed for customers.
Human Capital Transformation presents an opportunity to improve the delivery of personnel services to the Air Force Reserve community. Work will transfer in batches to ARPC beginning in March 2013.
