DENVER --   The 101 Critical Days of Summer 2009 Campaign begins May 22 and runs through Sept. 8.

Safety officials at the Air Reserve Personnel Center here are encouraging everyone to think 'safety first' during this time when mishaps often increase.

"The transition from spring to summer can be a very serious and deadly time for motorcycle and vehicle operators," said Lt. Col. Mike Saylor, ARPC director of mission support.

ARPC recorded no mishaps during last year's Critical Days, and Colonel Saylor said everyone should continue to make safety a habit.

"We want to remind everyone to take a moment and remember operational risk management principles and to think about safety precautions before beginning any activity," he said. "We want you to have fun and enjoy the warm weather, but we also care about you and your contributions to the mission."

For more information, visit the ARPC Safety page on the intranet or contact the Safety office at Ext. 6-7288 or Post 1K6.
