COLONEL MARK V. SLOMINSKI

Colonel Mark V. Slominski is the Mobilization Assistant (MA) to the Air Force Director of Civil Engineers, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington D.C. He assists the Director, who is responsible for installation support functions at a total of 182 Air Force bases worldwide with an annual budget over $11 billion. He is also responsible for organizing, training and equipping the 51,000-person engineering force along with providing policy and oversight for the planning, development, construction, maintenance, utilities and environmental quality of Air Force bases worldwide valued at more than $297 billion. This responsibility includes housing, fire emergency services, explosive ordnance disposal and emergency management services.

Colonel Slominski was commissioned in 1994 through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at Duke University, where he earned undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and History. During his Air Force career, he served at base level, Major Command, Primary Supporting Unit and Headquarters positions. This includes active duty service as well as Reserve assignments as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee and Traditional Reservist. He has command experience at multiple levels, including Readiness Flight Commander, IMA to the Civil Engineer Operations Flight Commander, IMA to the Civil Engineer Squadron Commander, Commander of the 366th Civil Engineer Squadron during Extended Active Duty and Commander of the 922nd Civil Engineer Staff Augmentation Team.
