Colonel Kyle H. Goldstein is the Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Operations, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He advises on all matters, policies and programs relating to the direct operational planning, training and command and control functions to deploy and employ regular and Reserve component combat forces, including more than 1,900 aircraft in support of U.S. security objectives.
Prior to his current position, Col. Goldstein served as the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Nineteenth Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. He supported the Commander who is responsible for more than 45% of the
U.S. Air Force’s annual flying hour program, which trains 27,000 U.S. and allied aircrews annually, flying 23 types of aircraft.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and earned his commission through the Air Force ROTC. Colonel Goldstein graduated from Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, in 2000 and was assigned as an F-15C fighter pilot at the 58th Fighter Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. In 2003, he deployed to Tabuk Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as an integral member of the 485th Air Expeditionary Wing. He executed critical missions supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, ensuring air superiority during strikes over Baghdad.
Colonel Goldstein is a command pilot with over 4,000 flying hours in the F-15C, T-38A/C, B-737, T-37 with over 60 of those in combat missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
