In an effort to improve service to Individual Reservists, the IR Travel and Pay offices will now accept pay and travel documentation via myPers.

In addition to providing a secure way to transmit sensitive personal information, utilizing myPers will eliminate the redundancy of using email and AMRDEC-SAFE to transmit files, provide IRs visibility into the status of their request, and allow HQ RIO to closely track pay and travel reimbursement processes and timelines.

The new submission process is effective immediately as a beta test and, pending a successful test period, will become the primary method of handling travel and pay documents. HQ RIO is strongly encouraging IRs to help test the new system by submitting any pay and travel documents, including leave, leave carryover and leave sellback, via myPers. IRs can track, comment and ask questions regarding their submitted documents by logging into myPers, selecting “Incidents/Messages” from the top left of the page and then clicking on the appropriate “Subject” line. IRs are encouraged to leave feedback using this tool once their pay or travel request is completed.

To submit documents in myPers, follow the instructions at the links below:

Travel: http://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/HQRIO/IRTravel.aspx

As of March 30, 2018, username and password access to myPers is no longer available. It is important for IRs to have regular access to working CAC readers in order to access a variety of career and readiness tools and resources. IRs who do not own a CAC reader may contact their servicing HQ RIO Detachment to obtain one. CAC readers are also available commercially. Directions to set up a CAC reader for home use are available at www.militaryCAC.com (non-DOD link disclaimer).

Additional travel and pay resources are available from the HQ RIO website at www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/HQRIO/
