Col. William J. Friday, Jr. is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. As the Mobilization Assistant, he supports the Complex Commander leading a team of over 9,800 military and civilian professionals delivering combat power for America. The complex performs programmed depot maintenance and modifications on KC-135, B-1, B-52, E-3 and Navy E-6 aircraft along with the maintenance, repair and overhaul of F100, F101, F108, F110, F117, F118, F119,
F135, and TF33 engines. Additionally, the complex performs the maintenance, repair and overhaul of diverse aircraft components, avionics, and electronic warfare equipment along with the development and sustainment of mission critical software, test program sets and automated test equipment.
Colonel Friday was born in Selma, Ala. and received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1995. He is a career aircraft/munitions maintenance officer and has commanded at the flight, squadron, and group levels. Prior to his current position, he served as the Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Vice Commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex.
