COLONEL JAMES B. DICKEY

Colonel James B. Dickey serves as the Reserve Advisor to the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.   The command employs some 80,000 people and manages $60 billion annually, executing the critical mission of warfighter support through leading-edge science and technology, cradle-to-grave life cycle weapon systems management, world-class developmental test and evaluation, and world-class depot maintenance and supply chain management. 

Colonel Dickey enlisted in 1992 and completed Basic Military Training School at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, followed by Air Transportation technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.  Colonel Dickey received his commission in 1997 through the Deserving Airman Program after graduating from the University of Texas.  Colonel Dickey’s squadron command assignments include an Aerial Port Squadron and a Logistics Readiness Squadron.  He served in the Logistics Directorates at a Numbered Air Force and Geographic Combatant Command.  He also served at Headquarters Air Force as part of Total Force Continuum.    

Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Dickey was the Deputy Division Chief, Logistics Directorate, United States Africa Command, Stuttgart, Germany.
