COLONEL MYNDA G. OHMAN

Colonel Ohman serves as the Staff Judge Advocate, Air Reserve Personnel Center at Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado.  She is responsible for delivering full-spectrum legal counsel on administrative and personnel legal issues involving nearly 1.3 million uniformed, retired, and civilian Airmen, locally and throughout the Air Force Reserve Command, to ensure they are ready to deliver strategic Total Force war fighting capability for the Air Force. 

The Center is a direct reporting unit of Air Force Reserve Command.  From initial entry to retirement, the Center provides world-class support for "Generations of Airmen" throughout their military careers. In addition, Headquarters Individual Reservist Readiness and Integration Organization (HQ RIO) reports directly to the Commander, Air Reserve Personnel Center. Headquarters RIO, with seven detachments, is responsible for the readiness, accountability, personnel and administrative servicing of more than 8,500 Individual Reservists worldwide.

Col Ohman received a direct commission as an Air Force Judge Advocate and entered active duty in November 1997 through the Direct Appointment Program.  She later attended George Washington Law School through the Air Force Institute of Technology’s Civilian Institution Program and in 2005 was awarded a Masters of Laws degree in International and Comparative Law.  She is admitted to practice law before the Minnesota Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
