Colonel KRISTIN A. HILLERY

Col. Kristin Hillery is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Medical Readiness Agency at the Defense Health Headquarters in Falls Church Va. In this role, she provides support and Air Force Reserve consultative leadership for more than 44,000 personnel and 76 military treatment facilities The Air Force Medical Readiness Agency is responsible for the support and execution of medical readiness programs, expeditionary medical capabilities and the direct support and implementation of policy, plans and programs for health care operation of the Air Force Medical Service. She is also the Senior Medical Reserve mentor for 30 Air Force medical Reservists assigned.

Col. Hillery was commissioned in 1993 as a graduate from the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). She was the Most Valuable Player of the Women’s Basketball team in 1993, earned USAFA’s Scholar Athlete and Top Honor Cadet in Athletics and still holds the record for the single season 3-point shot percentage of 48.6 percent.

Col. Hillery has commanded one squadron. She has an extensive background in the Medical Service Corps functions due to her 6 years of Active Duty and 20 plus years in the Reserve. Her reserve time includes serving as a traditional reservist, an IMA and as an Active/Guard Reserve member. Prior to her current assignment, she was the Deputy Command Surgeon of the Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. Her civilian occupation is a middle school teacher in Los Angeles, Calif.
