Colonel JAMES S. DOYLE

Colonel James S. Doyle is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander at the Air Force Test Center, Edwards AFB, Calif. AFTC is a $45 billion enterprise of more than 19,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel across Edwards AFB, Eglin AFB, Arnold AFB, and 30 other sites. AFTC provides developmental test & evaluation of experimental and research air, space, and cyber systems for military services, DARPA, NASA, and international partners, in addition to operating the USAF Test Pilot School.

Colonel Doyle entered the Air Force in 1997 as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He flew the A-10 operationally in the 23rd Fighter Group, Pope AFB and the 355th Wing, Davis-Monthan AFB. He also flew test missions for AFMC while assigned to the 413 Flight Test Group, and he has over 2,500 A-10 flight hours. He has extensive leadership and experience in flight test operations, depot operations, command and control, joint operations, major range test facility bases, and aircraft software development.

Prior to his current position, the colonel was the Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Chief of Combat Operations, 613 Air Operations Center, Pacific Air Forces.
