Colonel BETH KELLEY HORINE

Col. Beth Kelley Horine is the Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Public Affairs, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. She is responsible for providing the Secretary, Air Force Chief of Staff, and Chief of Space Operations public affairs policy and communication strategies, developing and executing global public affairs processes to support the Air and Space Forces. She provides integration guidance, synchronization and support for nearly 4,500 active duty, Guard and Reserve Airmen, Guardians and civilians in their mission to execute public affairs operations world-wide.

Colonel Horine is a 1997 graduate of Trinity University, receiving her commission through The University of Texas San Antonio Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. She served over 10 years on active duty, as both a navigator and a public affairs officer. In 2005, Colonel Horine deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, U.S. Embassy, Baghdad. She transitioned to the Air Force Reserve in 2007, first as a public affairs Individual Mobilization Augmentee, then later as a traditional Reserve commander in the unit program and Headquarters Active Guard Reserve senior leader. Prior to her current position, the colonel served as the Air Reserve Component Medical Continuation program division chief, leading a Total Force team in caring for Guard and Reserve wounded warriors. In the civilian sector, Colonel Horine taught as an adjunct professor of management and communications at American Public University.

Previously, Colonel Horine served as the Director of Public Affairs, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, assuring communication and career field planning, synchronization and execution for headquarters and component initiatives across the Total Force public affairs enterprise.
