Colonel CHRISTY L. SHAW

Colonel Christy L. Shaw is the Director, Assignments, Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center, Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado. Her directorate provides personnel support to over 1 million Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, and Retired Airmen ensuring they are prepared to deliver Total Force war fighting capability for the Air Force. Colonel Shaw works closely with all three Air Force components to develop future processes and leverage technology to support Air Force personnel programs for the future. From initial entry to retirement, the center provides world-class support for Airmen across the spectrum of personnel programs. The center is a major command direct reporting unit of the Air Force Reserve Command.


Colonel Shaw enlisted in the Air Force in 1992 as an F-15 Attack Control Systems Specialist. She was selected for commissioning via the Deserving Airmen Commissioning Board at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida and was commissioned in 2003 upon completing the Academy of Military Science. She has served in various operational and staff assignments at the unit and major command levels. Prior to her current position, Colonel Shaw was the Deputy Chief of HQ AFRC’s Military Personnel Division, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.
