Colonel SANDRA I. “SANDY” VANDIVIERE

Col Sandra I. Vandiviere serves as the Mobilization Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Manpower, Personnel, and Services, Air Force Pentagon, Washington DC. She is responsible for assisting, representing, or acting for the AF/A1, in personnel Total Force planning and policy initiatives. She ensures Air Force active, reserve and civilian forces are provided the skilled personnel to meet USAF operational requirements, world-wide, in both peacetime and wartime, and ensures the effective transition from peacetime to wartime via mobilization. Finally, she assists the AF/A1 with Total Force and Air Reserve Component (ARC) program advocacy for overall personnel policy and planning.

Col Vandiviere was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corp program at the University of Michigan. She began her active duty career in 1993 as a Wing Weather Officer at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. In 1997, she transferred to the Air Force Reserve and since has served in numerous assignments in the Personnel, Weather, Executive Officer and Plans and Programs career fields. Col Vandiviere is a graduated Squadron and Group Commander, completed a joint assignment and has held multiple staff assignments. Prior to her current position, Col Vandiviere was the Individual Mobilization
Augmentee to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Force Management and Integration. In her civilian role, she is the Executive Director for the Air Force Reserve Command Directorate of Manpower, Personnel and Services, which provides support to over 70,000 Reserve Citizen Airmen around the globe.
