Colonel CHRISTINE C. PIPER

Col Christine Piper is the Mobilization Assistant to the Director, Military Justice and Discipline, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. In this capacity, Colonel Piper assists the Director in supervising the administration of military justice throughout the Air Force and the Space Force, including 450 personnel at 79 locations worldwide engaged in development and review of military justice policy and legislation; prosecution, defense, and victims’ representation at the trial and appellate levels; clemency and parole; and representation of Airmen in the disability evaluation system.

Col Piper entered the Air Force as an active duty judge advocate in May 1997, obtaining her commission through direct appointment. While on active duty, she served as a deployed staff judge advocate, program attorney, and associate general counsel. As a civilian Air Force attorney, Col Piper served as Chief, Plans and Programs, Headquarters, Acquisition Law and Litigation Directorate; and as a senior trial attorney in the Commercial Litigation Field Support Center, Air Force Legal Operations Agency. As a reservist, Col Piper served at the center, division, numbered air force, MAJCOM, and air staff levels before assuming her current role. She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
