Colonel Brad Stanley is the Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Operations and International Law, The Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Department of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Col Stanley serves the Director overseeing the provision of legal services to the Air Force and Space Force on air and international law, space law, cyberspace and information law, environmental law and litigation, and aviation and admiralty tort matters. Col Stanley was the former Senior IMA at Headquarters, Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, IL.
In his civilian position, Col Stanley is the Civil Law Division Chief, 628th Air Base Wing, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. He is responsible for managing civilian labor litigation, the civilian labor law program, environmental litigation, the environmental law program, procurement litigation, and the procurement law program, among other civil law concerns, providing unsurpassed support to a total force of over 90,000 military members, dependents, and retirees across four installations, delivering comprehensive legal services to over 60 Department of Defense and Federal agencies at the Joint Base. The Legal Team ensures the legal readiness of Airmen who enable Air Mobility Command’s strategically vital Global Reach airlift capability.
Col Stanley was a member of the Order of Barristers, the Moot Court Board of Advocates, and was a contributing editor to the Ohio Northern University Law Review. During his years at the law college, Col Stanley worked with the Sentencing Division of the Ohio Supreme Court and clerked for Chief Judge Richard L. Speer, United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Ohio. He is a member of the Bars of South Carolina and the District of Columbia.
