Applicable to: Air Force Reserve
The member is currently assigned as a Cat A Reservist (TR) and desires to be reassigned to the IMA program.
* The member will initiate an AF IMT 1288 and obtain approval recommendation from their losing TR unit. Upon losing unit approval, the member submits the request to the gaining RIO Detachment.
* The member's losing Force Support Squadron will provide the gaining Detachment the reassignment order.
* The gaining Detachment will provide a copy of the order to ARPC/DPAA through myPers.
* The losing unit must provide a copy of the losing order to the gaining detachment within 10 business days.
* The losing unit is responsible for updating the projected assignment in MilPDS.
* Assignment Action Request
NOTE: ARPC/DPAA must have copy of the loss order as authorization to complete the assignment gain action in MilPDS. Without the losing order, the member will not be gained into the IMA program.
Attachments must be in PDF format and included in all requests. Failure to include the correct paperwork will cause a delay in processing.
All requests MUST include:
- AF IMT 1288
- AF IMT 1206 (if applicable)
Palace Chase:
- AF IMT 100
- DD 4 (if applicable)
- Approved Palace Chase Contract
Palace Front:
- AF IMT 100
- DD 4 (if applicable)
Involuntary to Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR):
- Approved supporting documentation
IRR to ANG or AFR:
- DD 4 (if needed)
- Waivers (if applicable)
- Statements of Understanding (as needed)
