BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The Individual Reserve Travel Office, formerly IMA Travel, completed a six-month transition relocation to Headquarters Individual Reservist Readiness and Integration Organization, Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, today.
The IR Travel Office, formerly located at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia, is now co-located with HQ RIO within the Air Reserve Personnel Center. The move marks the first time IR Travel has been co-located with its parent organization since the inactivation of the Readiness Management Group in 2014. The RMG was eliminated that year and recreated as HQ RIO, following an Air Force decision to consolidate manpower actions at centralized locations. The travel pay function was not included in that move from Georgia to Colorado.
The relocation allows for increased oversight, better organizational integration and a more reliable communications infrastructure.
Along with a new home, the IR Travel Office also has new contact information. IRs should use the following phone, fax and email when submitting travel documentation:
