ARPC Announces Reserve Major Promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced results for the Calendar Year 2018 Air Force Reserve Line and Non Line Major Promotion Selection Boards today. The boards selected more than 800 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at ARPC January 29 - February 2, 2018, to determine those officers best qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 887 of 1,437 officers considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards were:  Air Force Reserve Line, Dental Corps, Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Medical Services Corps, Biomedical Sciences Corps, Chaplains and Line of the Air Force Judge Advocates.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ):

Participating Reserve

- 180 Line officers selected from 240 considered for a 75 percent selection rate.

- Nine Chaplains selected from 10 considered for an 90 percent selection rate.

- Eight DC officers selected from nine considered for a 89 percent selection rate.

- 17 LAF-J officers selected from 23 considered for a 74 percent selection rate.

- 21 MC officers selected from 25 considered for a 84 percent selection rate.

- 47 NC officers selected from 50 considered for an 94 percent selection rate.

- 12 MSC officers selected from 14 considered for a 86 percent selection rate.

- Five BSC officers selected from seven considered for a 71 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating Reserve

- 178 Line officers selected from 322 considered for a 55 percent selection rate.

- Two Chaplain officers selected from four considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

- Seven DC officers selected from 21 considered for a 33 percent selection rate.

- Two LAF-J officers selected from eight considered for a 25 percent selection rate.

- Nine MC officers selected from 18 considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

- 50 NC officers selected from 67 considered for a 75 percent selection rate.

- Five MSC officers selected from six considered for a 83 percent selection rate.

- 12 BSC officers selected from 34 considered for a 35 percent selection rate.

- Three MC officers selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating Reserve

- 128 Line officers selected from 170 considered for a 75 percent selection rate.

- One Chaplain officer selected from five considered for a 20 percent selection rate.

- 13 DC officers selected from 24 considered for a 54 percent selection rate.

- Six LAF-J officers selected from 16 considered for a 38 percent selection rate.

- Nine MC officers selected from 16 considered for a 56 percent selection rate.

- 14 NC officers selected from 28 considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

- No MSC officers considered.

- 21 BSC officers selected from 40 considered for a 53 percent selection rate.
