Have you completed your annual Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) and Suicide Prevention training? If not, you still have three months to complete your Integrated SAPR and Suicide Prevention annual training for CY19.  Please coordinate completion with your base Unit Training Manager (UTM) and/or Violence Prevention Integrator.  This training must be conducted by a qualified implementer/coordinator and cannot be replaced by other training methods without written permission from AF/A1Z.  The deadline to complete this training is December 30, 2019.

If you are absolutely unable to complete the face-to-face training, you must provide justification as to why you are unable to attend via e-mail to the HQ RIO/Readiness & Training org box at: RIO.readiness.ForceMgt@us.af.mil

The RIO/IRR team will forward the request to AF/A1Z for approval.  Once approved they will issue you a time-sensitive password protected link.  You have 7 days to view the video and notify the RIO/IRR team of completion.

IAW AFI 90-5001, (Integrated Resilience to include Suicide Prevention published 25 January 2019) also states in para 3.3.1, that “Annual training will not be implemented for deployed personnel.  Violence Prevention Integrators (VPI) are responsible for providing annual training to members.  Because VPIs are not permanently assigned in deployed environments, training is not required while deployed and should be accomplished before or immediately upon the members return.  Requesting use of the video for deploying members will not be approved.  Per AFI 90-6001 4.2: Training. Home station unit commanders (or equivalent) must ensure deploying members are trained on annual SAPR training requirements prior to departure (T-0). Annual SAPR training will not be provided to deployed members in theater (T-1).”

Thank you for your service and compliance.
