ARPC announces CY20 Reserve major promotions

Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced results for the Calendar Year 2020 Air Force Reserve Line and Non Line Major Promotion Selection Boards today. The boards selected more than 800 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at HQ ARPC Jan. 27 to Feb. 1, 2020, to determine those officers best qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 882 of 1,159 officers considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards were:  Air Force Reserve Line, Dental Corps, Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Medical Services Corps, Biomedical Sciences Corps, Chaplains and Line of the Air Force Judge Advocates.

Participating Reserve

- 200 Line officers selected from 257 considered for a 78 percent selection rate.
- Nine Chaplains selected from 11 considered for an 82 percent selection rate.
- Five DC officers selected from six considered for a 83 percent selection rate.
- 26 LAF-J officers selected from 30 considered for a 87 percent selection rate.
- 11 MC officers selected from 14 considered for a 79 percent selection rate.
- 42 NC officers selected from 46 considered for a 91 percent selection rate.
- 12 MSC officers selected from 14 considered for an 86 percent selection rate.
- Eight BSC officers selected from nine considered for an 89 percent selection rate.


Nonparticipating Reserve

- 244 Line officers selected from 274 considered for a 89 percent selection rate.
- One Chaplain officers selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
- 21 DC officers selected from 22 considered for a 95 percent selection rate.
- Five LAF-J officers selected from seven considered for a 71 percent selection rate.
- 12 MC officers selected from 12 considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- 80 NC officers selected from 89 considered for a 90 percent selection rate.
- Five MSC officers selected from seven considered for a 71 percent selection rate.
- 31 BSC officers selected from 39 considered for a 79 percent selection rate.

- Three MC officers selected from four considered for a 75 percent selection rate. 
- Two NC officers selected from eight considered for a 25 percent selection rate.
- One MSC officer selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
- One BSC officer selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.


Nonparticipating Reserve

- 13 Line officers selected from 25 considered for a 52 percent selection rate.
- No Chaplain officer selected from one considered for a zero percent selection rate.
- No DC officers were considered.
- Two LAF-J officers selected from six considered for a 33 percent selection rate.
- No MC officers were considered.
- Four NC officers selected from six considered for a 67 percent selection rate.
- No MSC officer selected from one considered for a zero percent selection rate.
- Seven BSC officers selected from 14 considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

- 61 Line officers selected from 119 considered for a 51 percent selection rate.
- Three Chaplain officers selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- No DC officers were considered. 
- Four LAF-J officers selected from four considered for a 100 percent selection rate.

- 11 NC officers selected from 16 considered for a 69 percent selection rate.
- Four MSC officers selected from 12 considered for an 33 percent selection rate.
