HQ ARPC announces CY20 Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel, Major promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced results for the Calendar Year 2020 Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel and Major Promotion Selection Board today. The boards selected more than 500 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at ARPC May 18-22, 2020, to determine those officers best qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 354 for promotion to lieutenant colonel of 466 officers considered and 233 for promotion to major of the 254 considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards were: Air National Guard Line, Dental Corps (DC), Medical Corps (MC), Nurse Corps (NC), Medical Services Corps (MSC), Biomedical Sciences Corps (BSC), Chaplains and Line of the Air Force Judge Advocate (LAF-J).

-- 252 line officers were selected from 296 considered for an 85 percent selection rate.
-- Seven chaplains officers were selected from seven considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Two DC officers were selected from two considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Six LAF-J officers were selected from nine considered for a 67 percent selection rate.
-- Nine MC officers were selected from 10 considered for a 90 percent selection rate.
-- 12 NC officers were selected from 17 considered for a 71 percent selection rate.
-- Three MSC officers were selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 11 BSC officers were selected from 13 considered for an 85 percent selection rate.

To major

-- 154 line officers were selected from 167 considered for a 92 percent selection rate.
-- Eight chaplain officers were selected from eight considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Three DC officers were selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Four LAF-J officers were selected from five considered for an 80 percent selection rate.
-- Eight MC officers were selected from eight considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 22 NC officers were selected from 23 considered for a 96 percent selection rate.
-- Five MSC officers were selected from five considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 15 BSC officers were selected from 16 considered for a 94 percent selection rate.

-- 39 line officers were selected from 91 considered for a 43 percent selection rate.
-- One chaplain officer was selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate.
-- One DC officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Three LAF-J officers were selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Three MC officers were selected from five considered for a 60 percent selection rate.
-- Four NC officers were selected from four considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- No MSC officers were considered.
-- One BSC officer was selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

To major

-- Eight line officers were selected from 12 considered for a 67 percent selection rate.
-- One chaplain officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate
-- One DC officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate
-- No LAF-J officers were considered.
-- One MC officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- One NC officer was selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
-- One MSC officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- One BSC officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
