ARPC announces Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel and Major promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced results for the Calendar Year 2023A (first session) Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel and Major Promotion Selection Board today. The boards selected more than 600 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at ARPC February 13-18 to determine those officers best qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 358 for promotion to lieutenant colonel of 497 officers considered and 226 for promotion to major of the 283 considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards were: Air National Guard Line of the Air Force-Air Operations and Special Warfare (LAF-A), Line of the Air Force-Space Operations (LAF-S), Line of the Air Force-Information Warfare (LAF-I), Line of the Air Force-Combat Support (LAF-C), Line of the Air Force-Force Modernization (LAF-F), Dental Corps (DC), Medical Corps (MC), Nurse Corps (NC), Medical Services Corps (MSC), Biomedical Sciences Corps (BSC), Chaplains and Line of the Air Force Judge Advocate (LAF-J).

-- 178 LAF-A officers were selected from 215 considered for an 83 percent selection rate.
-- One LAF-S officer was selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
-- 26 LAF-I officers were selected from 37 considered for a 70 percent selection rate.
-- 45 LAF-C officers were selected from 61 considered for an 74 percent selection rate.
-- No LAF-F officers were considered.
-- 11 LAF-J officers were selected from 13 considered for an 85 percent selection rate.
-- Eight Chaplain officers were selected from nine considered for an 89 percent selection rate.
-- Three DC officers were selected from four considered for a 75 percent selection rate.
-- 15 MC officers were selected from 17 considered for an 88 percent selection rate.
-- 11 NC officers were selected from 13 considered for an 85 percent selection rate.
-- Four MSC officers were selected from eight considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
-- Eight BSC officers were selected from 10 considered for an 80 percent selection rate.

To Major
-- 105 LAF-A officers were selected from 113 considered for a 93 percent selection rate.
-- One LAF-S officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 33 LAF-I officers were selected from 42 considered for a 79 percent selection rate.
-- 35 LAF-C officers were selected from 45 considered for a 78 percent selection rate.
-- One LAF-F officers was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Six LAF-J officers were selected from six considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Six Chaplain officers were selected from six considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Two DC officers were selected from two considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Four MC officers were selected from four considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- 13 NC officers were selected from 13 considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
-- Four MSC officers were selected from seven considered for a 57 percent selection rate.
-- 12 BSC officers were selected from 19 considered for a 63 percent selection rate.

-- Three LAF-C officers were selected from four considered for a 75 percent selection rate.
-- No LAF-F officers were considered.
-- One LAF-J officer was selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
-- No Chaplain officers were considered.

-- One MC officer was selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
