ARPC celebrates first anniversary on Buckley Published Aug. 3, 2012 By Tech. Sgt. Rob Hazelett Air Reserve Personnel Center Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- It's been one year since the Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center relocated from the former Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, to its current location here Aug. 1, 2012. The center started the commemoration with a 2-mile formation run, which culminated in more than 100 runners from ARPC and the 460th Space Wing Civil Engineering Squadron finishing in front of the ARPC headquarters building. This run was reminiscent of the 8-mile guidon run performed by personnel one year ago, signifying the arrival of ARPC to our new home at Buckley AFB. Following the run, the participants and fellow personnel from the center were greeted by Col. Pat Blassie, ARPC commander. Blassie reflected on how smooth the transition from the former facility to a full fledge active duty base, how quickly the past year has gone and how warmly the 460th Space Wing and Buckley partners have welcomed ARPC. After the commander's comments, ARPC personnel and guests took part in a social gathering in the center's lobby where refreshments were served.
