DEADLINES APPROACHING FOR SEDEB & RDEDB - The deadlines are fast approaching for CY12 application submissions to both the Senior Enlisted Developmental Education Board (SEDEB), which convenes at ARPC Oct. 31 - Nov. 4, 2011, and the Reserve Developmental Education Designation Board (RDEDB) which also convenes here Dec. 12 - 16, 2011.

SEDEB for Senior Enlisted NCOs
The SEDEB convenes to identify the best qualified enlisted members for placement in select, short academic courses. Board members will evaluate applicants based on the whole person concept which includes depth/breadth of military experience and responsibilities, potential for a specific follow-on assignment that capitalizes on the member's attendance at a specified course, and professional qualities such as demonstrated leadership, academic and Developmental Education (DE) achievements.

The SEDEB process compliments the Air Force Reserve (AFR) force development construct by aligning the best qualified applicants with selected courses. All school board selections will be based on the needs of the AFR.

SEDEB applications must be submitted no later than midnight, Oct. 5, 2011. Command Chiefs will want these applications prior to the Oct. 5 deadline, so all applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

To apply to the SEDEB, visit the SEDEB Fact Sheet to download the application and instructions: http://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=18505 .

RDEDB for Reserve Officers
Air Force Reserve officers will be selected to attend IDE/SDE courses in-residence for the Academic Year 2012-13 by the RDEDB. Applications for the RDEDB must be completed through the vPC-GR Dashboard using the Air Force Personnel Services (AFPERS) website.

The RDEDB requires all nomination packages to comply with eligibility criteria outlined in the Invitation to Apply and must be submitted to ARPC no later than midnight Oct. 19, 2011.

Please follow these instructions to access the RDEDB application: Login to Air Force Personnel Services website at: https://gum-crm.csd.disa.mil/app/home. Scroll down to the vPC-GR Dashboard under Quick Links. Note: you will be re-directed to AFPERS if you access vPC-GR through the Air Reserve Personnel Center website. Questions can be directed to our Total Force Service Center at 800-525-0102.
