Major promotions announced

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced results for the Calendar 2011 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Professions Major Promotion Selection Board today.

The selection board convened at the center here Jan. 31 - Feb. 5 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 647 of 2,291 officers considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards are: Air Force Reserve Line, Dental Corps, Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Medical Service Corps and Biomedical Sciences Corps.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ):

Participating Reserve
- 340 Line officers selected from 437 considered for a 78 percent selection rate.
- Five DC officers selected from seven considered for a 71 percent selection rate.
- 16 MC officers selected from 20 considered for an 80 percent selection rate.
- 41 NC officers selected from 61 considered for a 67 percent selection rate.
- 18 MSC officers selected from 22 considered for an 82 percent selection rate.
- Nine BSC officers selected from 14 considered for a 64 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating Reserve
- One Line officer selected from 785 considered for a zero percent selection rate.
- No DC officers selected from 35 considered.
- One MC officer selected from 12 considered for an eight percent selection rate.
- No NC officers selected from 50 considered.
- No MSC officers selected from 12 considered.
- No BSC officers selected from 37 considered.

- 59 Line officers selected from 111 considered for a 53 percent selection rate.
- Two DC officers selected from four considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
- Three MC officers selected from six considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
- 17 NC officers selected from 35 considered for a 49 percent selection rate.
- Three MSC officers selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- Four BSC officers selected from six considered for a 67 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating Reserve
- No Line officers selected from 277 considered.
- One DC officer selected from 37 considered for a three percent selection rate.
- No MC officers selected from seven considered.
- One NC officer selected from 46 considered for a two percent selection rate.
- One MSC officer selected from 15 considered for a seven percent selection rate.
- One BSC officer selected from 52 considered for a two percent selection rate.

Selection statistics position vacancy (PV):

- 100 Line officers selected from 176 considered for a 57 percent selection rate.
- No DC or MC officers considered.
- 15 NC officers selected from 15 considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- Five MSC officers selected from five considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- Four BSC officers selected from four considered for a 100 percent selection rate.

Promotion effective dates are based on the Citizen Airman's time in grade. Projected effective dates will be posted on the ARPC website www.arpc.afrc.af.mil.
