Nearly 100 Airmen from the Air Reserve Personnel Center here competed in the Warrior Challenge on Sept. 10.

The third annual Warrior Challenge was held at Buckley Air Force base's Camp Rattlesnake where Airmen competed in 13 physical, knowledge-based and team-building challenges.

Ten teams of Airmen competed to be the fastest to finish all 13 stations successfully. Brig. Gen. Kevin Pottinger, ARPC commander, captained Team Delta and kicked off the event.

"Your main objective today is - to win," General Pottinger said. "Let's have a good time and show lots of good teamwork."

The challenges included questions on customs and courtesies; donning of Mission Oriented Protective Posture, or MOPP gear; simulated hand grenade toss; camouflaging a vehicle; low crawl; M-16 tear down; laser target shoot; Self Aid Buddy Care; and baton training with the 710th Security Forces Squadron.

Team Echo, including: Col. Vincent Bugeja, Senior Master Sgt. Tammy Jacobs, Master Sgt. Patrick Parise; Tech. Sgts. Malukinah Mathis and Michael Moore; Staff Sgts. Luis Lopez Rivera, Hugh Robinson, Adrian Ortiz and Fabian Martinez won the challenge and each received a two-day pass for their victory.

Following the Warrior Challenge, ARPC Airmen participated in a Combat Dining-In. Historically, the Air Force Combat Dining-In is a social function designed to enhance the esprit of the unit and build camaraderie.
