ARPC announces lieutenant colonel promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced results for the Calendar 2010 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Professions Lieutenant Colonel Promotion Selection Boards today. These boards selected more than 500 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at the center here June 14 - 19 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 556 of 1,461 officers considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards are: Air Force Reserve Line, Dental Corps, Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Medical Services Corps and Biomedical Sciences Corps.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ):

Participating Reserve
- 284 Line officers selected from 507 considered for a 56 percent selection rate.
- Eight DC officers selected from 10 considered for an 80 percent selection rate.
- 19 MC officers selected from 25 considered for a 76 percent selection rate.
- 45 NC officers selected from 67 considered for a 67 percent selection rate.
- Eight MSC officers selected from 11 considered for a 73 percent selection rate.
- Nine BSC officers selected from 15 considered for a 60 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating Reserve
- One Line officer selected from 21 considered for a 5 percent selection rate.
- One DC officer selected from five considered for a 20 percent selection rate.
- One MC officer selected from 24 considered for a 4 percent selection rate.
- No NC officers selected from three considered.
- One MSC officer selected from one considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- One BSC officer selected from four considered for a 25 percent selection rate.

- 85 Line officers selected from 466 considered for an 18 percent selection rate.
- Two DC officers selected from four considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
- Four MC officers selected from seven considered for a 57 percent selection rate.
- 12 NC officers selected from 45 considered for a 27 percent selection rate.
- Two MSC officers selected from seven considered for a 29 percent selection rate.
- Three BSC officers selected from 20 considered for a 15 percent selection rate.

- No Line officers selected from 31 considered.
- No DC officer selected from one considered.
- No MC officers selected from 22 considered.
- No NC officers selected from five considered.
- No MSC officer selected from one considered.

- Three MC officers selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.

- Two MSC officers selected from eight considered for a 25 percent selection rate.
- Two BSC officers selected from two considered for a 100 percent selection rate.

Promotion effective dates are based on the Citizen Airman's time in grade. Projected effective dates will be posted on the ARPC Web site, www.arpc.afrc.af.mil.
