195 selected to attend Reserve short courses Published March 10, 2010 DENVER -- One hundred ninety Reserve officers and five enlisted Reservists were selected to attend developmental education, officer professional development and joint courses by the Reserve School Selection Board that met at the Air Reserve Personnel Center here Jan. 19 - 22. The board designated 36 officers for Basic Developmental Education - Squadron Officers School, 20 officers were selected for Intermediate Developmental Education - Air Command and Staff College - Seminar and 15 were selected for Senior Developmental Education - Air War College - Seminar. Another 17 officers were selected to attend Reserve Officer Developmental Education and one was selected to attend the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Five chief master sergeants and 101 officers were selected for joint courses including the Advanced Joint Professional Military Education and Canadian Forces Staff College - Blended Course, International Junior Officer Leadership Development, Junior Officer Leadership Development, Marine Corps Command and Staff College - Blended Course, NATO - Reserve Forces Integration Course, NATO - Senior Reserve Officer Course, NATO - Senior Officer Policy Course, Naval Short Course - Reserve Officer Strategy and Policy, Reserve Component National Security Courses - Officers and the Reserve Component National Security Course - Enlisted. In addition, 32 officers and four senior master sergeants were selected as alternates for these courses. Alternates will be selected to fill vacant quotas based on the needs of the Air Force. These officers and enlisted service members were matched to schools based upon the needs of the Air Force followed by consideration for the individual's preferences.
