ARMS server migration (AF, AFRC, ANG) The Automated Records Management System servers will be replaced Nov. 8 - 13.

During the first phase (Nov. 8) of this process, ARMS documents will be available for retrieval, but no new documents will be uploaded. During the second phase (approximately 7 p.m. CDT Nov. 10), new documents will be uploaded but no documents will be retrievable to any ARMS, PRDA or ADP users until all server permissions have been set. Customers need to pull any records they know will be needed during this outage prior to Nov. 8.

For emergency records request such as casualty support, contact the Personnel Systems Operations Control Center at DSN 665-5004 or 800-525-0102. Technicians have procedures to assist in retrieving the requested documents from back up data. Distribute this information to all offices and members as this outage will affect all Air Force record users worldwide.

Post 9-11 GI Bill (AFRC, ANG) - For those who applied for a certificate of eligibility or transferability and believe they have not received proper credit; who have not yet received their VA certification; or who intend on applying in the future, ARPC, AFRC, or your Wing Education and Training Office can help expedite the application/case resolution process. For Reservists awaiting a certificate of eligibility/transferability, the VA regional processing offices agreed to accept a Letter of Certification from AFR as proof of military service for Reservists in lieu of sufficient data or Forms DD 214. Learn how ARPC can help you speed up the processing of your Post-9/11 GI Bill application by visiting the vPC-GR at https://arpc.afrc.af.mil and creating an account.

Stop Loss Special Pay (AFRC, ANG) - Reservists and Guardsmen involuntarily extended on active duty beyond an approved separation or retirement date as a result of Stop Loss between Sept. 11, 2001 and Sept. 30, 2009 may be eligible for Retroactive Stop Loss Special Pay compensation. The Air Force used stop loss during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001-2002 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Eligible members will receive $500 per month for each month or portion of month they were retained on active duty as a result of stop loss. The payment is also payable to legally designated beneficiaries of deceased or incapacitated Airmen. Individuals have until Oct. 21, 2010 to file their claim. If the Air Force rejects a claim, the application will be returned along with a letter detailing appellate procedures.

Those eligible may download and submit a stop loss claim application from the Air Reserve Personnel Center's virtual Personnel Center - Guard and Reserve Web site at https://arpc.afrc.af.mil/vPC-GR, or call the Total Force Service Center at 800 525-0102 for assistance.

Reserve Officer Development Plan (AFRC) - Beginning Oct. 28, officers will be able to submit their Reserve Officer Development Plan via vPC-GR. This will replace the current web form. Upon implementation, the current R-ODP form used in the past will be disabled.

Those with a current R-ODP will visit the Worklist tab within their vPC-GR Dashboard to view their R-ODP. Existing R-ODP data will migrate into vPC-GR automatically. It is strongly advised to review your R-ODP for accuracy. Users should update information and submit for coordination prior to their next DT event. Beginning Oct. 28, officers can visit vPC-GR at https://arpc.afrc.af.mil to ensure R-ODP data is migrated.

Officers who never completed an R-ODP must use the Action Request tab in their vPC-GR Dashboard and select the R-ODP option from the list. Officers must have a vPC-GR account to access these tools. See New Account under Account Tools on the vPC-GR homepage to create an account. For more information, contact the Air Reserve Personnel Center at 1-800-525-0102.
