Commanders - CONTACT CENTER UTA SUPPORT CURTAILED SEPT. 5 (ANG, AFRC) - The current ANG/AFR UTA schedule and historic Labor Day weekend workload indicate that phone operation support on Sept. 5 is not justified. As always the Web, e-mail, and fax channels to your Contact Center remain available. The Center resumes UTA phone support Sept. 12 and retains a three-Saturday-a-month schedule.

CONTACT CENTER SUPPORTS COMMAND, AIRMEN WITH NEW GI BILL SUPPORT (ANG, AFRC) -- The Reserve personnel contact center counselors offer an added dimension of support for our airmen to inquire about, receive documentation support on, obtain VA accepted Service History documentation, and be coached through the VA application processes for the New GI Bill. This level of support expands on the great service our Unit Education and Training Offices provide and can assist Airmen with their questions. Call 1-800-525-0102.

SGLI AWARENESS (ANG, AFRC) -- ARPC will mail more than 8,000 letters by Sept. 1 to ANG and AFR Airmen who have declined to participate in the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance Program. The letter informs Airmen that if they want to participate in the Program to complete SGLV Form 8285, "Request for Insurance" and SGLV Form 8285A, "Request for Family Coverage". The forms must be hand carried to their commander's support staff or military personnel flight for approval and processing. ARPC is always here to provide counseling to our Citizen Airmen.

NEW SEPARATIONS APPLICATION (ANG) -- Starting Aug. 26, ANG Airmen can initiate voluntary separations in vPC-GR. Concurrently, MPFs and Joint Force Headquarters will have the capability to initiate involuntary and unique separations (ANG to ANG, conscientious objector, expiration of ETS and Enlisted to officer). This change will centralize all ANG separation processes at ARPC through vPC-GR ensuring accurate accountability of projected losses. Use of this application becomes mandatory on Sept. 30. Airmen can contact the ARPC Contact Center for assistance at 1-800-525-0102 or visit http://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil.

JOINT OFFICER MANAGEMENT (AFRC) - Air Force Reserve officers who think they have any Joint experience should visit http://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/library/jom/index.asp, which will walk them through the submission process to receive credit. Also, officers who have served in a JDAL billet as an AGR shouldn't assume they have automatically been awarded credit. Instead, they should contact ARPC to verify their status in JMIS. Airmen with questions or concerns can contact HQ ARPC at 1-800-525-0102.
