ARPC announces lieutenant colonel promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced results for the Calendar 2009 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Professions Lieutenant Colonel Promotion Selection Boards today. These boards selected more than 600 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at the center here June 1 - 5 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 609 of 1,561 officers considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards are: Air Force Reserve Line, Dental Corps, Medical Corps, Nurses Corps, Medical Services Corps and Biomedical Services Corps.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ):

Participating Reserve
- 329 Line officers selected from 597 considered for a 55 percent selection rate.
- Two DC officers selected from six considered for a 33 percent selection rate.
- 18 MC officers selected from 25 considered for a 72 percent selection rate.
- 42 NC officers selected from 72 considered for a 58 percent selection rate.
- 19 MSC officers selected from 27 considered for a 70 percent selection rate.
- 10 BSC officers selected from 22 considered for a 45 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating Reserve
- One Line officer selected from 31 considered for a 3 percent selection rate.
- One DC officer selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate.
- One MC officer selected from 20 considered for a 5 percent selection rate.
- No NC officers selected from eight considered.
- One MSC officer selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate.
- One BSC officer selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate.

- 73 Line officers selected from 443 considered for a 16 percent selection rate.
- Four DC officers selected from six considered for a 67 percent selection rate.

- Four MSC officers selected from 10 considered for a 40 percent selection rate.
- Three BSC officers selected from 15 considered for a 20 percent selection rate.

- One NC officer selected from eight considered for a 13 percent selection rate.
