Linda Higgins, human resources assistant in the Directorate of Personnel Program Management, is the ARPC Spotlight of the Week.

Ms. Higgins has 26 years of federal civil service at ARPC. She currently works in DPP's retirements branch, and said she enjoys helping others with their retirement needs.

"I have always felt I would want a person to help me with my needs if I was calling in rather than treating me like I was just a number," she said.

Ms. Higgins is from Topeka, Kan. She enjoys working in her yard, gardening and planting flowers. She also said she likes to take walks at Cherry Creek park, and she has three schnauzers who keep her busy. She said she occassionally rides as a passenger on her husband's 27 motorcycles.

What is your most memorable experience at ARPC?

My most memorable experience at ARPC hasn't been just a single event. I have lifelong friendships with many of my co-workers. My best friend Martha Jackson was stationed here in 1987. We worked together here, then she was stationed in Germany where I visited her twice.

If you could change one thing about ARPC what would it be?

If I could change on thing about ARPC it would be to increase the number of higher pay grades.

What would you like to do when you retire?

My plans when I retire are to travel.
