Senior Master Sgt. Mark Heath, ARPC First Sergeant, is the ARPC Spotlight of the Week.

Sergeant Heath enlisted in the Air Force in 1983. He is from Fort Wayne, Ind.

He enjoys music, riding motorcycles, computers and sports -- "especially, volleyball and softball."

What is your most memorable Air Force experience?

I would have to say that the most memorable experience is meeting my wife and then marrying her. Both happened on Air Force bases.

As for my career, earning the first sergeant diamond was a proud moment and has allowed me to experience special moments both in my life and others' lives as well.

Why did you join the Air Force?

I joined the Air Force to serve my country, travel, and to receive an education (not necessarily in that order).

What are your goals as ARPC's first sergeant?

Ensure all personnel at HQ ARPC have the necessary assistance and resources to focus on our mission. To help us integrate more with Buckley Air Force Base as a true and active member of Team Buckley. And to learn more about our total force at ARPC and share that knowledge so others understand the importance of and differences in our Total Force.

If you could change one thing about the Air Force what would it be?

I would reinstate a mandatory enlisted evaluation system training program required annually of all supervisors of enlisted Airmen.

If you were not in the military, where would you be?

I would probably be working in a computer company or fast food place. I worked in the restaurant business prior to military service, but I've always been interested in computers.

What would you like to do when you retire?

I'm not sure what I will do when I retire. I've thought about becoming a teacher to share my life experiences and help develop our future generations to be successful in life.
