Jim Jenkins, military human resource specialist, Directorate of Plans, is the ARPC Spotlight of the Week.

Mr. Jenkins is from Denver. He has 37 years of service as a federal civilian employee and has worked at ARPC for more than 32 years.

He enjoys playing guitar, drums and the trumpet. He also likes reading, hiking, Tai Chi and coaching youth sports.

What is your most memorable experience at ARPC?

Probably during Operation Desert Storm and 9/11. I was very impressed at the dedication and pride the people took in doing their jobs -- sometimes working overtime without complaining.

If you could change one thing about ARPC what would it be?

Communication from management down to the workers. There appears to be too many closed-door decisions made with little or no explanation. This lends itself to rumors and uncertainty. I think folks just want to know the truth even if it isn't great news.

What would you like to do when you retire?

Pursue my hobbies more and spend time with my family. Maybe work part-time in a music or book store.
