Master Sgt. Stephanie Carter, Individual Ready Reserve Muster Program Manager in the Directorate of Plans, is the ARPC spotlight of the week.

Sergeant Carter is from Ohio and has been in the Air Force for more than 18 years. Her father was in the Air Force for more than 22 years.

She enjoys scrapbooking, traveling and spending time with her family and the family dog. She also enjoys attending her kids' school functions and their sporting events. She also loves shopping, she said.

What is your most memorable Air Force experience?

My entire four-year assignment at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. I took advantage of the opportunity to travel to other countries and was able to see many amazing places. The most memorable part of the assignment was I started my beautiful family while stationed there.

Why did you join the Air Force?

I really wasn't ready for college and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, so I decided to follow in my dad's footsteps.

If you could change one thing about the Air Force what would it be?

I would like to see a five days a week mandatory fitness program. This would increase everyone's fitness level, and increase fitness scores and fit-to-fight readiness. It would also assist with relieving daily stress.

If you were not in the military, where would you be?

I really have no idea. Maybe I would own a catering business or be working as a nurse at a large hospital.

What would you like to do when you retire?

The first thing is to take some time to relax. Then, I want to do something I'm interested in and will enjoy doing. Since I have an interest in the medical career field, maybe I'll pursue a career as a nurse.
