Officials announce Reserve colonel promotions Published Dec. 16, 2008 DENVER -- Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced the fiscal 2009 Air Force Reserve Line and Nonline Colonel Promotion Selection Board results today. A selection board convened at the center here Oct. 6-10 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 96 of 1,664 Air Force Reserve officers considered. A complete list of Citizen Airmen selected for promotion is available online. Categories considered during this promotion board are: Line, Chaplain, Dental Corps (DC), Line of the Air Force-Judge Advocate (LAF-J), Medical Corps (MC), Nurse Corps (NC), Medical Service Corps (MSC) and Biomedical Sciences Corp (BSC) officers. Board results are: Participating Reserve selection statistics in-the-promotion zone: -- 11 Line officers were selected from 236 considered for a 5 percent selection rate. -- Two Chaplains were selected from five considered for a 40 percent selection rate. -- No DC officers were selected from four considered. -- One LAF-J officers was selected from 27 considered for a 4 percent selection rate. -- Two MC officers were selected from 10 considered for a 20 percent selection rate. -- One NC officer was selected from 21 considered for a 5 percent selection rate. -- One MSC officer was selected from five considered for a 20 percent selection rate. -- One BSC officer was selected from five considered for a 20 percent selection rate. Participating Reserve selection statistics above-the-promotion zone: -- 57 Line officers were selected from 925 considered for a 6 percent selection rate. -- One Chaplain was selected from 21 considered for a 5 percent selection rate. -- One DC officer was selected from 24 considered for a 4 percent selection rate. -- Eight LAF-J officers were selected from 80 considered for a 10 percent selection rate. -- Three MC officers were selected from 96 considered for a 3 percent selection rate. -- Four NC officers were selected from 98 considered for a 4 percent selection rate. -- One MSC officer was selected from 33 considered for a 3 percent selection rate. -- One BSC officer was selected from 31 considered for a 3 percent selection rate. Nonparticipating Reserve selection statistics in-the-promotion zone: -- No Line officers were selected from five considered. -- No DC officers were selected from one considered. -- No MC officers were selected from four considered. -- No NC officers were selected from one considered. -- No BSC officers were selected from two considered -- No Chaplain, LAF-J nor MSC officers were considered.
