Elections begin for booster club officers Published Nov. 14, 2008 By Mike Molina Editor DENVER -- Voting is under way to elect new officers to the booster club at the Air Reserve Personnel Center here. Voting began Nov. 20 and will continue through Dec. 10. "The booster club is an organization that encompasses all of ARPC - Airmen and civilian employees," said Senior Airman Adrian Ortiz, booster club president. "By getting involved with the club and voting for the new officers, people can make a difference and increase the morale and camaraderie at ARPC." Airmen and federal civilian employees at ARPC will elect a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer for the club. Election results will be announced at the ARPC Holiday Party on Dec. 19. Officers serve one-year terms and are elected in November. According to the club's constitution, the Personnel Center Booster Club is a private organization that seeks to promote the morale and welfare of ARPC employees and their families. This year, the club has raised more than $10,000 supporting center-wide events, including ARPC's summerfest picnic, the annual holiday party and Bring Your Child to Work Day. "As an officer, you get to see the results of all the coordinating and fundraisers. You get to see people having a good time enjoying themselves," Airman Ortiz said. Employees must be Booster Club members to vote in the election. Membership is open to Airmen and federal civilian employees assigned to, or physically located, at ARPC. Employees can obtain a membership registration form by contacting Airman Ortiz at Post 3E19, or Tech. Sgt. Gayla Romanowsky at Post 3C15. Election ballots are also available from Airman Ortiz and Sergeant Romanowsky. Nominees for president are: Tech. Sgt. Phyllis Forster, DPS; and Staff Sgt. Jessyca Eddy, DPS.
