ARPC announces lieutenant colonel promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced results for the Fiscal 2009 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Professions Lieutenant Colonel Promotion Selection Boards today. These boards selected 893 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at the center here June 9 - 13 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 893 of 1,726 officers considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards are: Air Force Reserve Line, Dental Corps, Medical Corps, Nurses Corps, Medical Services Corps and Biomedical Services Corps.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ):

Participating Reserve

- 600 Line officers selected from 933 considered for a 64 percent selection rate.
- Three DC officers selected from seven considered for a 43 percent selection rate.
- 22 MC officers selected from 27 considered for an 81 percent selection rate.
- 37 NC officers selected from 58 considered for a 64 percent selection rate.
- Nine MSC officers selected from 18 considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
- Nine BSC officers selected from 14 considered for a 64 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating Reserve
- One Line officer selected from 23 considered for a 4 percent selection rate.
- No DC officers selected from two considered.
- One MC officer selected from 14 considered for a 7 percent selection rate.
- One NC officer selected from eight considered for a 13 percent selection rate.
- One BSC officer selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate.
- No MSC officers were considered.

- 77 Line officers selected from 328 considered for a 23 percent selection rate.
- Three DC officers selected from five considered for a 60 percent selection rate.
- Four MC officers selected from six considered for a 67 percent selection rate.
- Seven NC officers selected from 48 considered for a 15 percent selection rate.
- One MSC officers selected from five considered for a 20 percent selection rate.
- One BSC officers selected from 14 considered for a 7 percent selection rate.

- No Line officers selected from 29 considered.
- No DC officers selected from three considered.
- No MC officers selected from 21 considered.
- No NC officers selected from six considered.
- One MSC officer selected from one considered.
- No BSC officers considered selected from one considered.

- 102 Line officers selected from 134 considered for a 76 percent selection rate.
- One MC officer selected from one considered.
- Seven NC officers selected from eight considered for an 88 percent selection rate.

- Two BSC officers selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
- No DC officers were considered.

Promotion effective dates are based on the Citizen Airman's time in grade. Projected effective dates will be posted on the ARPC Web site, www.arpc.afrc.af.mil.
