ARPC announces major promotions

DENVER --  Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced the fiscal 2009 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Major Promotion Selection Board results today. This board selected 478 Airmen for promotion.

A selection board convened at the center here Feb. 11-15 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 478 of 1,684 Air Force Reserve officers considered.

A complete list of Airmen selected for promotion is available online for the position vacancy and mandatory select lists.

Categories considered during this promotion board are: Line, Dental Corps (DC), Medical Corps (MC), Nurse Corps (NC), Medical Service Corps (MSC) and Biomedical Sciences Corp (BSC) officers.

Board results are:

Participating selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ):
-- 211 Line officers were selected from 279 considered for a 76 percent selection rate.
-- Three DC officers were selected from six considered for a 50 percent selection rate.
-- 11 MC officers were selected from 13 considered for an 85 percent selection rate.
-- 51 NC officers were selected from 63 considered for an 81 percent selection rate.
-- 14 MSC officers were selected from 15 considered for a 93 percent selection rate.
-- 11 BSC officers were selected from 16 considered for a 69 percent selection rate.

Participating selection statistics above-the-promotion zone (APZ):
-- 39 Line officers were selected from 113 considered for a 35 percent selection rate.
-- Three DC officers were selected from three considered.
-- Two MC officers were selected from nine considered for a 22 percent selection rate.
-- Nine NC officers were selected from 17 considered for a 53 percent selection rate.
-- No MSC officers were selected from two considered.
-- Two BSC officers were selected from eight considered for a 25 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ):
-- One Line officer was selected from 475 considered for a 0.2 percent selection rate.
-- One DC officer was selected from 49 considered for a 2 percent selection rate.
-- One MC officer was selected from 14 considered for a 7 percent selection rate.
-- One NC officer was selected from 58 considered for a 2 percent selection rate.
-- One MSC officer was selected from six considered for a 17 percent selection rate.
-- One BSC officer was selected from 53 considered for a 2 percent selection rate.

Nonparticipating selection statistics above-the-promotion zone (APZ):
-- No Line officers were selected from 99 considered.
-- No DC officers were selected from 33 considered.
-- No MC officers were selected from 23 considered.
-- No NC officers were selected from 43 considered.
-- No MSC officers were selected from 3 considered.
-- No BSC officers were selected from 48 considered.

Selection statistics position vacancy (PV):
-- 64 Line officers were selected from 187 considered for a 34 percent selection rate.
-- No DC officers were considered.
-- One MC officer was selected from one considered.
-- 13 NC officers were selected from 14 considered for a 93 percent selection rate.
-- Four MSC officers were selected from 26 considered for a 15 percent selection rate.
-- Four BSC officers were selected from eight considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

Promotion effective dates are based on the individual's time in grade. Projected effective dates will be posted on the ARPC Web site, www.arpc.afrc.af.mil.
