Commanders-vPC-GR ENHANCEMENTS - Last night we launched the most recent vPC-GR upgrades to the organizational hierarchy adding more custom tools.

--  Dashboard assignments changed so senior leaders will see fewer applications assigned to them unless direct action is necessary.

--  New "Awards and Decorations" capability enables AFR commanders to approve the AF Achievement medal at the Group, Wing or equivalent leadership level.

--  Enhancements to the "Retirement Application" added roles for NAF commanders and State commanders in Joint Force Headquarters to recommend approval for their staff without requiring an additional vPC-GR organizational role.  Improvements to the online process for "withdrawals" and "request to change" retirement dates now have an added "status view" for application reviewers.

ARPC TO DISTRIBUTE U.S. FLAGS TO RETIRING RESERVISTS -- Honoring retiring Reservists with an American flag just got easier through a centralized process as ARPC will now purchase and distribute all flags. To request a flag, Airmen simply select "yes" on the "Would you like a U.S. Flag?" question within the vPC-GR Retirement Application.

ARC PREPARES FOR JQS IMPLEMENTATION -- Air Reserve Component officers soon will have guidance on receiving credit for their joint experience and education.  See the Joint Qualification System story at http://www.arpc.afrc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123091592
