Officials announce Reserve colonel promotions Published Dec. 13, 2007 DENVER -- Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced the fiscal 2008 Air Force Reserve Line and Nonline Colonel Promotion Selection Board results today. A selection board convened at the center here Oct. 15-19 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 225 of 2,011 Air Force Reserve officers considered. Categories considered during this promotion board are: Line, Chaplain, Dental Corps (DC), Line of the Air Force-Judge Advocate (LAF-J), Medical Corps (MC), Nurse Corps (NC), Medical Service Corps (MSC) and Biomedical Sciences Corp (BSC) officers. Board results are: Participating Reserve selection statistics in-the-promotion zone: -- 122 Line officers were selected from 547 considered for a 22 percent selection rate. -- Four Chaplains were selected from 14 considered for a 29 percent selection rate. -- Two DC officers were selected from 9 considered for a 22 percent selection rate. -- Four LAF-J officers were selected from 24 considered for a 17 percent selection rate. -- Four MC officers were selected from 26 considered for a 15 percent selection rate. -- Eight NC officers were selected from 60 considered for a 13 percent selection rate. -- Two MSC officers were selected from 16 considered for a 13 percent selection rate. -- Two BSC officers were selected from 15 considered for a 13 percent selection rate. Participating Reserve selection statistics above-the-promotion zone: -- 54 Line officers were selected from 875 considered for a 6 percent selection rate. -- Two Chaplains were selected from 19 considered for an 11 percent selection rate. -- Two DC officers were selected from 26 considered for an 8 percent selection rate. -- One LAF-J officer was selected from 77 considered for a 1 percent selection rate. -- Seven MC officers were selected from 98 considered for a 7 percent selection rate. -- Six NC officers were selected from 94 considered for a 6 percent selection rate. -- One MSC officer was selected from 33 considered for a 3 percent selection rate. -- Two BSC officers were selected from 33 considered for a 6 percent selection rate. Nonparticipating Reserve selection statistics in-the-promotion zone: -- One Line officer was selected from 10 considered for a 10 percent selection rate. -- No Chaplains were selected from one considered. -- No DC officers were selected form two considered. -- No LAF-J officers were selected from one considered. -- One MC officer was selected from eight considered for a 13 percent selection rate. -- No NC officers were selected from one considered. -- No MSC nor BSC officers were considered. Nonparticipating Reserve selection statistics above-the-promotion zone: -- No Line officers were selected from nine considered. -- No MC officers were selected from 11 considered. -- No NC officers were selected from one considered. -- No MSC officers were selected from one considered. -- No Chaplain, DC, LAF-J nor BSC officers were considered.
