Fiscal 2008 captain, first lieutenant promotions announced Published Sept. 13, 2007 DENVER -- The Air Reserve Personnel Center announces the fiscal 2008 line and nonline captain and the first half of fiscal 2008 first lieutenant promotions. There were 499 Air National Guard and 1,435 Air Force Reserve officers selected for promotion to captain, and 231 Air National Guard and 105 Air Force Reserve officers selected for promotion to first lieutenant. Officers may not assume the higher grade until they reach their two year date-of-rank anniversary or Oct. 1, 2007, whichever is later.
