Many people, whether they be directors, supervisors or junior enlisted members, ask "What is JEAC?" The Junior Enlisted Advisory Council has an important purpose, and with good unit participation from supervisors and junior enlisted Airmen, we can make this an awesome organization.

The JEAC constitution states, "The purpose of the JEAC shall be to provide a positive contribution to the morale and welfare of Air Reserve Personnel Center enlisted members, technical sergeant and below and their family members by the sponsorship of ideas and activities which promote organization unity and cohesiveness."

Community involvement, organizational support and teamwork is what JEAC is all about.

In the past, the JEAC has participated in many community events such as Habitat for Humanity, the annual MS Walk, Food Bank of the Rockies and pet food drives for the Max-Fund No Kill animal shelter.

JEAC also supports the organization by providing assistance and funds for many unit functions, including Easter egg hunt, summer picnic, holiday party, and quarterly and annual awards.

The council also builds teamwork and enhances morale by participating in events such as white water rafting, bowling and many off-site meetings. Money has been raised, off-duty time spent and teamwork built through all of the involvement. This shows what an important organization JEAC is and what can be accomplished through time and involvement.

The future of JEAC is dependent upon participation from our junior enlisted Airmen and continued support from our leaders.

There are many activities and functions the organization can be a part of if given a chance and with suffi cient volunteers. Supervisors can encourage their people to get out and make a difference in the unit and community.

Each of us should seek opportunities to participate in the important and muchneeded morale boosting events sponsored by the JEAC.

We can also encourage our co-workers and let them know the importance of unity and teamwork with their peers.

The JEAC takes work, time and dedication to make an organization worth being; it is not just an easy bullet statement. The organization is here to promote general welfare and the morale of enlisted Airmen; to eliminate intimidation and encourage free exchange of ideas concerning programs; to provide input to the commander on JEAC issues; to promote teamwork throughout the organization; and to plan morale-boosting events.

It is an organization set out in establishing moraleboosting activities for junior enlisted Airmen and a team involved in the community.

With everyone's help this team will to continue to foster positive cohesiveness and achieve unity with ARPC's junior enlisted Airmen and their families.
