Rob Mims HQ Air Reserve Personnel Center Public Affairs DENVER -- The Air Reserve Personnel Center here announced today the fiscal year 2007 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Professions Major Promotion Selection Boards (V0407A, W0407A, U0407A) results that selected 600 officers for promotion. A selection board convened at ARPC March 6 for the Air Force Reserve Line and Health Professions Major Promotion Selection Boards to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members carefully reviewed the records of more than 1,651 officers in search of those most qualified. The results of the FY07 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Professions Major Promotion Selection Boards follow: - Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ): To major (selected Reserve) - 172 line officers selected from 257 considered for a 67 percent select rate; - 4 dental corps officers selected from 5 considered for an 80 percent select rate; - 27 medical corps officers selected from 31 considered for an 87 percent select rate; - 71 nurse corps officers selected from 87 considered for an 82 percent select rate; - 22 medical service corps officers selected from 25 considered for an 88 percent select rate; and - 12 biomedical sciences corps officers selected from 18 considered for a 67 percent select rate. To major (other than selected Reserve) - 44 line officers selected from 305 considered for a 14 percent select rate; - 8 dental corps officers selected from 66 considered for a 12 percent select rate; - 3 medical corps officers selected from 23 considered for a 13 percent select rate; - 11 nurse corps officers considered from 82 considered for a 13 percent select rate; - 2 medical service corps officers considered from 10 considered for a 20 percent select rate; and, - 6 biomedical sciences corps officers selected from 37 considered for a 16 percent select rate. - Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone (APZ): To major (selected Reserve) - 73 line officers selected from 163 considered for a 45 percent select rate; - 1 dental corps officer selected from 1 considered for a 100 percent select rate; - 3 medical corps officers selected from 8 considered for a 38 percent select rate; - 12 nurse corps officers selected from 24 considered for a 50 percent select rate; - 2 medical service corps officers selected from 7 considered for a 29 percent select rate; and, - 6 biomedical sciences corps officers selected from 6 considered for a 100 percent select rate. To major (other than selected Reserve) - 2 line officers selected from 102 considered for a 2 percent select rate; - 2 dental corps officers selected from 46 considered for a 4 percent select rate; - 1 medical corps officer selected from 29 considered for a 3 percent select rate; - 2 nurse corps officers selected from 44 considered for a 5 percent select rate; - No medical service corps officers selected from 5 considered; and, - No biomedical sciences corps officers selected from 37 considered. - Selection statistics position vacancy (PV): To major (selected Reserve) - 74 line officers selected from 185 considered for a 40 percent select rate; - 1 dental corps officer selected from 1 considered for a 100 percent select rate; - 3 medical corps officers selected from 3 considered for a 100 percent select rate; - 25 nurse corps officers selected from 26 considered for a 96 percent select rate; - 6 medical service corps officers selected from 10 considered for a 60 percent select rate; and, - 5 biomedical sciences corps officers selected from 8 considered for a 63 percent select rate.
