Mandatory vPC-GR accounts by April 2 Published March 12, 2007 ARPC NOTAM 0008 -- Commanders - In a Feb. 1 memorandum to AFRC leaders, Maj. Gen. Poulin, AFRC/CV, mandated AFRC officers, senior NCOs and supervisors establish vPC-GR accounts, by logging on to http://arpc.afrc.af.mil/vPC-GR by April 2. "Our personnel center is the hub of our transformation efforts, and vPC-GR is our tool to transition Reservists to these Web-based personnel services," he wrote. vPC-GR is the Web-based personnel services system developed and managed by ARPC and AFRC's primary tool for meeting the AF/A1 and AF/RE vision of centralized personnel services for the Total Force. This new Web-enabled service is available at any time from anywhere in the world and gives Citizen Airmen the ability to monitor the status of their application from start to finish. It is imperative that all Reservists establish an account to ensure timely flow of personnel transactions from the initiator to supervisor and/or commander. Not only does vPC-GR give a Reservist the ability to initiate personnel actions on-line, it sets the stage for the DoD's new personnel data system (Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System-DIMHRS) scheduled for Air Force implementation in May 2008. vPC-GR helps Reservists get accustomed to requesting personnel services online and taking responsibility for their own careers; two precedents that will be expanded with DIMHRS. Therefore, it is crucial that commanders and supervisors lead this cultural change to ensure our Reservists are adequately prepared for tomorrow. //Signed// ANN C.
