ARPC Announces Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel and Major Promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced results for the Calendar Year 2023B (second session) Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel and Major Promotion Selection Board today. The boards selected 671 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at ARPC, 4-9 December, to determine those officers best and fully qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 378 for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel of 501 officers considered and 293 for promotion to Major of the 346 considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards were: Air National Guard Line of the Air Force-Air Operations and Special Warfare (LAF-A), Line of the Air Force Nuclear Missile Operations (LAF-N), Line of the Air Force-Space Operations (LAF-S), Line of the Air Force-Information Warfare (LAF-I), Line of the Air Force-Combat Support (LAF-C), Line of the Air Force-Force Modernization (LAF-F), Line of the Air Force Judge Advocate (LAF-J), Chaplains, Dental Corps (DC), Medical Corps (MC), Nurse Corps (NC), Medical Services Corps (MSC), Biomedical Sciences Corps (BSC), Line of the Air Force Cross-Functional (LAF-X).

- 166 LAF-A officers were selected from 198 considered for an 84 percent selection rate.
- Zero LAF-N officers were selected from one considered.
- Two LAF-S officers were selected from two considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- 37 LAF-I officers were selected from 42 considered for an 88 percent selection rate.
- 46 LAF-C officers were selected from 53 considered for an 87 percent selection rate.
- No LAF-F officers were considered.
- Seven LAF-J officers were selected from seven considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- Eight Chaplain officers were selected from 11 considered for a 73 percent selection rate.
- Six DC officers were selected from seven considered for an 86 percent selection rate.
- 20 MC officers were selected from 22 considered for a 91 percent selection rate.
- 15 NC officers were selected from 18 considered for an 83 percent selection rate.
- Five MSC officers were selected from eight considered for a 63 percent selection rate.
- 10 BSC officers were selected from 14 considered for a 71 percent selection rate.

- 118 LAF-A officers were selected from 127 considered for a 93 percent selection rate.
- Zero LAF-N officers were selected from one considered.
- Six LAF-S officers were selected from six considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- 32 LAF-I officers were selected from 49 considered for a 65 percent selection rate.
- 42 LAF-C officers were selected from 48 considered for an 88 percent selection rate.
- No LAF-F officers were considered.
- Seven LAF-J officers were selected from eight considered for an 88 percent selection rate.
- Five Chaplain officers were selected from seven considered for a 71 percent selection rate.
- No DC officers were considered.
- Eight MC officers were selected from eight considered for a 100 percent selection rate.
- 23 NC officers were selected from 24 considered for a 96 percent selection rate.
- Four MSC officers were selected from six considered for a 67 percent selection rate.
