It's tax season again, which means Team Buckley members are invited to utilize the tax assistance programs currently being offered that could save families hundreds.

Buckley's three tax assistance programs are an online tax consultation and preparation service being offered by Military OneSource through H&R Block, the H&R Block at the Exchange on base, as well as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Military OneSource is teaming up with H&R Block to aid in any tax-related issues through an online program. They offer a tax consultation, tax preparation and filing for all of Team Buckley to include reservists regardless of activation status, deaths, separation until 180 days after their retirement, discharge or end-of-tour date.

With this program, Team Buckley members can do one federal return and up to three state returns for free with the online service.

Team Buckley members may also call the H&R Block seasonally located on base at 303-341-4472 for any questions regarding filing their tax return or for expert tax advice.

VITA is another service offered to assist with Team Buckley members' 2014 taxes.

The Air Reserve Personnel Center has two VITA representatives who can provide free services to ARPC active-duty members and their spouses. They can be reached at 720-847-3277 or 720-847-3653.

"This season we do have a tax center, but not at a physical location; it's going to be within the units," said Capt. Nathaniel Garrett, 460th Space Wing Judge Advocate chief of legal assistance and preventative law. "This year, rather than come into a location in bldg. 1030, they're going to go to their unit and meet with their representative."
