ARPC education services team schedules online training

The Air Reserve Personnel Center education services team will conduct a Defense Connect Online meeting to help assist Reserve wing training offices understand the Student Loan Repayment Program's for Reservists parameters, create SLRP packages and address some frequently asked questions from the field here Nov. 14, 2014, at 2-3 p.m. MST.

Audio will be conducted through the Meet Me voice program, which is limited to 16 lines per meeting, so the educations branch recommends each office share one line.

Several questions and issues were asked concerning the program and its processes when it was transferred from the Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command to the ARPC educations services branch here May 26.

Delaina Hull, ARPC education programs manager, said she plans to schedule monthly DCOs to train units on specific topics and work directly with the units to answer their questions so they can counsel their members.

Hull said because of Human Capital Transformation, ARPC now administers the program in addition to being the servicing education center for Individual Mobilization Augmentees.

"The monthly DCOs will go over many of the programs we manage: Veteran's Affairs, GI Bill programs, Foreign Language Proficiency Pay, Tuition Assistance, for example." said Tech. Sgt. Daniel Potter, AFRC Tuition Assistance/Student Loan Repayment Program manager. "Next month's DCO will cover the student reimbursement process for Tuition Assistance."

Potter said requests can be granted to conduct additional DCOs, if the need exists.
