ARPC announces CY14 Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel and Major Promotion Selection Boards Published June 19, 2014 By Cindy Dewey ARPC Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced results for the 2014 Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel and Major Promotion Selection Boards today. The selection boards convened at the center April 7 to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 518 of 670 Air National Guard officers considered. Categories considered are: Air National Guard Line, Chaplain, Dental Corps (DC), Line of the Air Force - Judge Advocate (LAF-J), Medical Corps (MC), Nurse Corps (NC), Medical Service Corps (MSC) and Biomedical Sciences Corps (BSC) officers. Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone (IPZ): To lieutenant colonel -- 231 line officers were selected from 285 considered for an 81 percent selection rate. -- Seven chaplains were selected from seven considered for a 100 percent selection rate. -- One DC officer was selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate. -- Three LAF-J officers were selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate. -- 10 MC officers were selected from 13 considered for an 77 percent selection rate. -- Seven NC officers were selected from 11 considered for a 64 percent selection rate. -- Five MSC officers were selected from nine considered for a 56 percent selection rate. -- Seven BSC officers were selected from ten considered for a 70 percent selection rate. To major -- 156 line officers were selected from 170 considered for a 92 percent selection rate. -- No Chaplin officers were considered. -- Two DC officers was selected of two considered for a 100 percent selection rate. -- Three LAF-J officers were selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate. -- Four MC officers were selected from five considered for a 80 percent selection rate. -- 11 NC officers were selected from 15 considered for a 73 percent selection rate. -- Three MSC officers was selected from five considered for a 60 percent selection rate. -- Six BSC officers were selected from eight considered for a 75 percent selection rate.
